Interested in getting involved with Scouts? There are many ways you can help. You don’t have to be an adventurer or love the outdoors to be able to assist. Maybe you have first aid knowledge or you are great in the kitchen. Maybe you have accounting skills or are a handyman. We all have useful skills that contribute to the programme that supports the development of our youth.
Don’t let your busy schedule deter you. Volunteering with us is flexible – you determine how much time you give. Whether you help out once a fortnight, month or term or just at special events or camps, there is bound to be a role you can play, and your support goes a long way.
You will have a great time volunteering with us learning new skills and sharing unique experiences with our youth. Scouting also offers the chance to build on personal skills, like teamwork, confidence and leadership, which are relevant to your working or personal life. Most importantly, you get the rewarding feeling of seeing first-hand the positive impact that Scouting makes on a child’s life, maybe even yours.
We provide leadership training to make sure our volunteers are well prepared. Contact us for more information on getting involved.
