Applications are invited from Warranted Leaders for the position of Contingent Leader as part of the Scout Association of Trinidad and Tobago Contingent for the following events:
- World Scout Moot 2022 – Ireland
- Caribbean Cuboree 2022 – Antigua
- World Scout Jamboree 2023 – South Korea
Job Description
The contingent leader oversees the organization and running of the contingent in coordination with the contingent management team. General activities for this position include but are not limited to forming and directing the contingent plan, implementing pre-jamboree fundraising, sponsorship and advertising campaigns as well as supervising and management of all departments of the contingent during the jamboree.
Qualifications
The incumbent should have sufficient management training and experience. It would be an asset to be actively involved in the running of a section of the movement; this person should also possess camping experience which would include local as well as international camps.
Leadership training should include but not be limited to Woodbadge Training; possession of the Woodbadge Beads would be an asset.
The position also requires good people skills, the ability to communicate well and the knowledge and experience to take initiative.
