ScoutsTT presents our STEM Curiosity and Creativity Weekend 2022. Join us as we collaborate with Restore a Sense of I Can (RSC), The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and Savannah Aero Concepts Trinidad and Tobago (SACTT) for a weekend designed to help you become a creator for the 21st century.
We will have sessions spread over the weekend to help you learn about robotics, circuitry, augmented reality, hydraulics, pneumatics, 3D printing and aeronautics.
This camp covers some of the requirements of the scouts and ventures Electronics badge, Science and Technology badge as well as the Air Spotter and Air Researcher badges. Members can also work towards their Digital Citizen and Aviation Skills stage badges.
Sessions:
Robotics, SNAP circuits and Augmented Reality – All Sections
Location: San Fernando District HQ
Date: Saturday 28th May
Times: 9am – 12 noon or 1pm – 4pm
Capacity: 40 persons per session
Details – Gain hands on experience with creating circuits and using electricity. Explore the possibilities of augmented reality and get a chance to build and program robots.

Introduction to Engineering, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and 3D Printing – Scouts, Ventures and Rovers
Location: UTT Point Lisas Campus
Date: Sunday 29th May
Times: 9am – 12 noon
Capacity: 25 persons
Details – Gain an understanding of engineering and learn about some of the systems that engineers use. Learn how to make things move with hydraulics and pneumatics and understand how you can make objects using 3D printing.

Introduction to Aeronautics – All Sections
Location: Mike DeFreitas RC Airfield, Frederick Settlement, Caroni
Date: Sunday 29th May
Times: 3pm – 6pm
Capacity: 50 persons
Details – Learn about the parts of an aircraft and how planes fly. Explore how you can create your very own aircraft and maybe even get the chance to fly a model.
